They can create Planetary Shields on planets to resist attacks from space. Massive amounts of energy are required for a Planetary Shield. If the shield becomes ineffective, it will leave the planet exposed to serious threads from space. Additionally, the number of Shield Generators that can be built on a planet is limited. Planetary Shield can only resist damage from space, it cannot defend ground damage.

Player Tips & Tricks

Relay Stations are unable to create new planetary bases on any portion of planet covered by a planetary shield of any strength; even the pale blue fringes of the shield will prevent landings.
