Summary

The Wireless Power Tower is a power transmission tower with a longer range, but smaller distribution area, than the Tesla Tower. In addition to its improved range, it can charge Icarus as long as Icarus stands near it. Multiple wireless power towers can be placed next to eachother to increase the rate of charging.

Note: To increase the proportion of Wireless Power Towers to Tesla Towers in the final stage of this production line, simply scale up the Plasma Exciter portion, and the number of WPTs will go up by same ratio, with the number of TTs dropping by the increase of WPTs.

Player Tips & Tricks

Each overlapping Wireless Power Tower that you are standing in range of adds to the charging rate that you recharge at. With careful placement, it is possible to be in range of many of them at once, giving a significant boost to recharging Icarus! The maximum possible away from the poles is 12 arranged in a cross shape, since using 16 in a 4x4 square will not use the corners.
While Wireless Power Towers have greater connection distance than Tesla Towers, their much greater resource and idle energy costs mean that in most circumstances, it is cheaper in both resources and energy to use more Tesla Towers to make a connection than a smaller number of Wireless Power Towers.
