Advanced Mining Machine
Mining Facility
Using the quantum chip to positively intervene the photon group generated by the exciter in the transition process, it can lead a obvious bunching effect of the laser beam. Under the action of the special gravitational field, the focused laser beam rapidly heats the ore veins along the predetermined path, transports in the form of particles and encapsulated into cargos, it can be built more convenient and have a higher gathering speed. The collected ores can be transported out by conveyor belts or logistics drones.

Summary

The Advanced Mining Machine is the late-game alternative to the regular Mining Machine, offering both higher mining speed per vein and better vein coverage. Unlike regular Miners, Advanced Miners' mining fields cannot overlap with each other, but it can overlap regular Miners' fields.

The baseline mining speed of an Advanced Machine is 60 per vein, which is twice as fast compared to the regular one, and its mining field is capable to fully cover most vein clusters. As with the regular Miner, vein coverage does not affect energy consumption. This makes the Advanced Machine also more energy-efficient, as one might need 5-6 regular Miners to cover an entire vein cluster. The mining speed can be further increased up to 300% of the baseline, but this greatly increases the energy expenses.

The Machine's internal storage is similar to the single storage slot of a Planetary Logistics Station, with the baseline capacity of 5000, that can be further increased by 1000 per each level of the Logistics Carrier Capacity upgrade. It can be alternated between Supply and Storage modes, with the former allowing Logistics Drones to pick up its content. For this reason, Advanced Miners cannot be built in the proximity of the Logistics Stations.

The Machine also has a total of 9 belt outputs, effectively capping the unloading speed by belts at 16200/min, when using Mk.III belts. With the Logistics Station Integrated Logistics upgrade, the Miner also gains ability to output stacked cargos, raising that cap to a whopping 64800/min at the upgrade's maximum level.

Operational Configuration and Settings

Gathering Speed (Slider)

Value range: [100%, 300%] (Step: 10%)

Allows further increase of the gathering speed. The power consumption increases by the square of the multiplier:

Speed multiplier 100% 150% 200% 250% 300%
Power consumption 2.94 MW
(100%)
6.615 MW
(225%)
11.76 MW
(400%)
18.375 MW
(625%)
26.46 MW
(900%)

This multiplier stacks multiplicatively with the speed bonus from the Veins Utilization upgrade.

Output Cargo Stack Count (Slider) & Use Tech Limit (Checkbox)

These options get unlocked with the Logistics Station Integrated Logistics upgrade. It allows Logistics Stations and Advanced Mining Machines to output cargo to the belts in stacks, similar to those formed by the Automatic Piler. When the checkbox is set, the slider is locked and the amount of cargo in stacks equals to that provided by the current level of the upgrade. Otherwise, player is able to set the stack count at which the cargo gets unloaded, between 1 and the current tech limit, when 1 means non-stacked output.
