The basic assembler. Can process iron and copper ingot into more advanced products, but the speed will be slightly slower.

Like Arc Smelters, Mining Machines, Conveyor Belt Mk.I and Sorter Mk.I, it's a good idea to automate the production of this building as soon as possible. This commonly done within a Mall.
It's a good idea to use MK. I Assemblers till abundant energy supply is secured since it has the lowest possible energy consumption for assembly. Moving up to Assemblers of MK. II - IV can cause immense power struggles otherwise.
