Summary

The Arc Smelter is a building which smelts certain materials into certain other materials via application of high heat. It is mostly used for turning ores into their respective ingots, although it is also used for producing magnets, as well as certain crystals (all recipes are listed below). Being an arc furnace, it requires no fuel to operate, just electricity.

Player Tips & Tricks

Since the average game will need hundreds of smelters, consider automating their creation early on to avoid being force to make them manually every time you need them.
When creating mining bases in new planets it's normal to underestimate how many smelters you will need. Take with you both a decent amount of them and the materials to create more, specially Stone Bricks.
