Summary

An EM-Rail Ejector is used to propel Solar Sails into an orbit around a sun to form a Dyson Swarm.

The EM-Rail Ejector must have a direct line of sight to the injection point on the dyson sphere orbit in order to work. Therefore, players usually construct EM-Rail Ejectors at the poles of a planet, to ensure continuous operation.
