Summary

The first constructible generator. Wind power has been used from the very beginning of Human history, making some of the first mechanical mills possible. Improvements have been made over the the years, refining and improving the technology. With modern advances, the motion that once ground wheat into flour now creates electrical power for modern society.

Power Output

The power output of a Wind Turbine is multiplied by the planet's wind energy ratio which is strictly tied to the planet type and does not depend on any other factors.

Wind Energy Ratio Power Output Planet Type(s)
0% 0kW Barren Desert
40% 120 kW Ashen Gelisol
70% 210 kW Ice Field Gelisol, Lava, Scarlet Ice Lake
80% 240 kW Gobi, Volcanic Ash
100% 300 kW Mediterranean, Oceanic Jungle, Red Stone, Sakura Ocean
110% 330 kW Prairie, Rocky Salt Lake, Waterworld
150% 450 kW Arid Desert
160% 480 kW Hurricane Stone Forest

Player Tips & Tricks

  • Two Wind Turbines cannot be placed within the close proximity from each other. The minimal distance is ≈11m.
  • Wind Turbines can be placed on Water Ocean without using Foundations after researching Steel Smelting (but neither on Lava or on Sulfuric Acid Ocean).
