Player Tips & Tricks

  • The output of X-ray Cracking directly aligns with the requirements to create Energy Matrix.
    • It is not recommended to use X-ray Cracking outside of this purpose as there are other, simpler, sources of both Hydrogen and Energetic Graphite.
  • X-ray Cracking creates a self-contained loop and only requires Refined Oil to function
    • The Hydrogen generated via X-ray Cracking can fuel the refineries used for X-ray Cracking infinitely with access to only Refined Oil
      • This method requires Hydrogen to be manually added to the refinery to kick-start the process, but will then be fully automated. Simply ensure the Hydrogen output comes before the input on the same overall output belt.
  • The products of X-Ray Cracking (3 total refineries) have a total energy of (6.3 MJ/Energetic Graphite * 30 Energetic Graphite/min) + (8 MJ/Hydrogen * 45 Hydrogen/min) = 549 MJ/min = 9.15 MJ/s = 9.15 MW
    • Given that this setup consumes only 2.88 MJ, plus (18kW * 11 Sorter Mk.I) = 0.198 MW (one sorter per input/output), and an additional 0.84 MW for the oil extractor (which can be spread across multiple triplicates of refineries), this is an energy positive process.
    • It is not recommended to use X-ray Cracking to generate power as there are many other simpler methods to do so.
