The many upgrades in Dyson Sphere Program can be used throughout the game to improve aspects of your mecha, dyson sphere, production line, and logistics. Below are the upgrades and their appropriate costs.

Note: Upgrades are sorted by how they appear from top to bottom and by tier.

Exploration Upgrades

These upgrades will help you figure out how many resources you can get from every planet you visit, and mostly act as quality of life information.

Player Tips

  • For the upgrades that can be researched infinitely, their research consumption increases each time it is researched. This leads to them being considerably more expensive to keep researching, the further you research them.
  • It is worth trying for some of the upgrades as soon as possible. The following recommended upgrades do not use matrices or technology unlocks, and can therefore be researched immediately upon starting the game:
    • Drive Engine 1 (allows sustained flight, which is faster than walking, but consumes more energy)
    • Mecha Core 1 (increases maximum mecha energy storage)
    • Universe Exploration 1 (displays symbols for resources and their yields across the planet)
  • Energy Core 1 is also extremely useful in the early game (faster mecha recharge rate), but requires the technology Smelting Purification to be researched.
