The Performance Test, accessed via a tab on the Statistics Panel, shows real-time information regarding CPU & GPU load. It also provides information as to the size and breakdown of the save file data.

Accessing the Performance Test screen
Open Statistics Panel with P and click on the Performance Test tab.
Terminology
Frames Per Second (FPS) and Updates Per Second (UPS) may be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen via Shift+F12.
