::: I agree, its not 100% everywhere. From what I described above I would conclude that there is a dead spot, and that the size of the dead spot depends on how far the planet is away from the star. If the planet is close enough, there is no dead spot. And if it is very far away, the dead spot is almost as big as the dark side of the planet. The rest is something in-between.
