Summary

An EM-Rail Ejector is used to propel Solar Sails into an orbit around a star to form a Dyson Swarm.

The EM-Rail Ejector must have a direct line of sight to the injection point on the dyson sphere orbit in order to work. Therefore, players usually construct EM-Rail Ejectors at the poles of a planet, to ensure continuous operation.

Player Tips & Tricks

The pitch angle must be between 5 degrees and 60 degrees to allow firing.
The vector towards the targeted solar orbit must not be blocked by any celestial bodies (i.e. moons orbiting Gas giants get blocked often).
This facility can be 'daisy-chained'. Each facility can take Solar Sails from a belt via a sorter and pass the excess sails back onto a belt, via a sorter, to another Rail Ejector
